2008 was a fun year. It really flew by too. Apparently, after you get married, years start flying by. I’m getting older and chubbier too. Let’s catch everybody up on what happened with the Lindblom’s in 2008.

After getting married at the end of 2007, we moved into our new apartment for a week until our honeymoon in New York, New York! It was a blast to be there together. I love New York, and since it was the second time I’d been there, I was able to be a tour guide for Penny. We got to do fun things like ride the subway, walk around Times Square, eat at yummy restaurants, go to the top of the Empire State Building, ride the carraige in Central Park and see Phantom of the Opera. You can check out the photos in my Facebook album.

School has grown increasingly challenging. I’ve had fun dropping classes I didn’t like and enjoying the good ones. I’ve had a lot of good classes that, combined with a abundant work experience I’ve had this last year, have helped me develop my web development skills quite a bit. At the beginning of the year I was working for the Carwasher. In about March I was contacted by CampusSpots.com to help them work on their website. In the summer I continued with CampusSpots, but also interned at Synapse Studios. When school came around again in September, I left Synapse Studios. I also eventually left CampusSpots for time’s sake, and also because the rough economic times had really hurt their business. Of course, at the beginning of 2009 I started back at Synapse Studios where I am today, and I like working there a lot. I get to work on a lot of challenging and fun projects that involve me learning new things quickly.

Being married changes things a bit. I don’t go out and party as much as I used to, but Penny and I still manage to go out and have fun (I just wish school wouldn’t get in the way of that all the time). We had lots of good times partying it up in our apartment (refer to the above picture), and once we moved back into Penny’s parents’ house in the upstairs, we kept the parties going. Living there has allowed us also to work more with her little brother, Nathan (who has Down’s syndrome), and also be able to become better friends with her older brother, Jared, and to participate more with the band. We went to Disneyland and California Adventure on our honeymoon this year, which was really crowded, but also really fun. And as a testament that Penny is still her usual self, here is a picture of her dressed up for New Year’s Eve… yes, New Year’s Eve, not Halloween.
